MANILA, Philippines – Quezon City, Metro Manila’s largest, is celebrating its 75th foundation day on October 12. As a result, all of QC’s 6 districts will be holding various Diamond Jubilee celebrations anyone can participate in. Here are just a few to look forward to:

4. QC Food Festival at Maginhawa Street (October 11, Saturday, 9 am onwards)

Among many of the thriving food streets in Metro Manila is Maginhawa Street, home to many small, quaint restaurants serving amazing food. The street will be hosting the first ever QC Food Fesitval also on October 11 starting 9 am.

The best part? Entrance to the festival is free.

According to the press release, “the 2-kilometer stretchGift certificates equivalent to P150 plated meals will be given away and can be redeemed at participating Maginhawa restaurants.”

Additionally, attendees can expect:

  • Food samples from sponsors
  • Cooking demos
  • Free Wi-Fi

In the evening, there will be a concert sponsored by San Miguel. Here’s the lineup:

The Philippines is not far behind in terms of food variety being both Asian and Spanish center in the Pacific. Such food festival will surely showcase Philippines very colorful food cultural influences.
